Reflections of the Week 2012

This area of the Church Website is very special, whether you’re at home or work at any day
or night of the week come to this page and experience the reflections of the week.

16 February

Dear Friend in Christ:

Here is today’s Thank You Thursday note:

Next week Wednesday is the beginning of Lent.  Maybe we could reflect on the following:

Stop comparing yourself to others – those who we think are better or worse than us.
You are not living YOUR life when you do that.
SHINE BRIGHTER WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW.

In the next five weeks I will be explaining how we can SHINE.

Today let us THANK God for the decisions whether right or wrong that
He allows us to make and the lessons that come from them.

Have a Thankful Thursday and may God bless you!

Dear Friend in Christ:

Here is today’s Thank You Thursday note:

How many times do you find that we are eager to accept the physical/material gifts that
God has to offer but are reluctant to accept the spiritual ones, that which is eternal?

Let us remember that every gift from the Lord, whether material or spiritual is meant to be shared with others.
Also, we must remember that God gives when He finds us giving.

Today let us THANK God that His hands are wide open with a fountain of grace pouring out with no limitations.

We welcome your prayer intentions and updates.

Have a Thankful Thursday and may God bless you and your family!

Dear Friend in Christ:

Here is today’s “Thank You Thursday” note:

None of us is so poor in blessings that we cannot share at least one every day with someone else.
What can you share today – time, talent or treasure?

Thank God that He has gifted us with a gold mine of blessings from which we can draw..
.if only we could make the time.

Have a Thankful Thursday and please do not forget to send us your prayer requests.

Dear Friend in Christ:

Here is today’s Thank You Thursday note:

When God measures a man; He puts the tape around the heart – not the head or the waist!!!

Think on this: If your outward appearance were to reflect your inner self what would you look like?
God is the only one who can see into people’s hearts (1 Kings 8:39), and because of that,
the believer’s outward appearance, actions, thoughts and words must be consistently Christ like,
if we’re to make a real difference for Him in this world.

Today, let us continually seek God’s help to develop a gentle and quiet spirit pleasing to Him.

Please do not forget to send us your prayer intentions.

Have a Thankful Thursday and may God richly bless you!

Dear Friend in Christ:

Here is today’s “Thank You Thursday” note:

For the New Year, let us try and be conscious of God’s presence around us.
LET US NOT LOOK BACK IN ANGER NOR FORWARD IN FEAR BUT AROUND US IN AWARENESS
because he or she who has a WHY to live can bear almost any HOW.

Please do not forget to send us your prayer updates and requests.

Have a THANKFUL Thursday and may God bless you and your loved ones!

Dear Friend in Christ,

Here is today’s “Thank You Thursday” note:

We enjoy countless tokens of God’s love and faithfulness; we have witnessed
His delivering hand again and again, and yet when some fresh trial comes upon us—
something which completely upsets our plans, the removal of some earthly object around
which we had entwined our heart’s affections—we question His presence.

This year, let us trust Him a little more and “…when tests and challenges come at you from all
sides consider it a sheer gift.” (James 1:2-4). Don’t be afraid of these trials or pray too quickly for
them to pass for they are able to teach us many lessons and may help us to become more spiritually mature.

We welcome your prayer requests which will be offered today at our mid-day and evening prayer sessions.

Have a THANKFUL Thursday and may God bless you!
